Seven Months

Time is just flying! Our sweet baby is 7 months old!!

You are wearing some 6 month and some 6-9 month clothes. You are still wearing a size 2 diaper.

About a week before you turned 7 months I finally stopped swaddling you. It has been an adjustment for sure. I've given in and let you sleep with us a few nights. If I let you sleep on your belly though you sleep through the night so that's the way you are sleeping now and you are a good sleeper again. You have very recently phased out your third nap and are usually taking around two good naps a day - one in the morning and one in the late afternoon.

You have been making the most hilarious face lately. I call it your Grandma Lois face because it reminds me so much of how my Grandma looked without her teeth in. I love it that in your own baby way you remind me of her. I have to try to get a picture of this face because it is so funny and cute!

You LOVE the jumperoo. You jump so hard and just laugh!

We still haven't started baby food with you. You got your first cold at the beginning of November and had a pretty junky cough. On two different days about an hour after you had oatmeal you had HUGE HUGE spit ups. The first time it was twice and you were so lethargic after and just wanted to sleep. You had me so worried we almost made a trip to the ER. I am not positive what happened; if it is an allergy to oatmeal or because you were laying down after you ate or if it had something to do with you having a cold but I am really nervous to try new foods with you now. But, you are still tiny so we need to start trying baby food!

You don't have any teeth yet and I don't think you have any signs of teething. Your brother and sister were both late teethers and I have a feeling nursing will become a challenge once you do get teeth so I'm in no hurry!

You always want us to pay attention to you. I can't blame you! You love attention and you just are so sweet and smiley! You ADORE your big brother and big sister. You are going through a phase where you only want Mommy or Daddy to hold you if we are around. Even Grandpa and Grandma can't hold you for long before you start crying and once Daddy or Mommy take you the tears stop and you are as happy as can be. I'm sure this is just a phase and I really don't mind.


You just started to show a little bit of an interest in sitting up on your own right before you turned seven months. Before this you would fall right over. Now you are sitting independently for short periods of time. You really are growing up so fast!
