Pumpkin Farm

Our big preschooler had his first field trip on the 13th to a local pumpkin farm. I was so thankful Daddy was able to work it out with his schedule so he could stay home with the girls so Mommy got to go on the field trip. We almost didn't get to go because we got the dreaded call from preschool on Monday that he had thrown up and inevitably we all except baby (thank goodness!) took our turn with the nasty stomach bug. Ugh.

Preschool has been amazing for him but I could do without all the germies he brings home. I have to remind myself that at least the girls are building their immune systems earlier this way. Thankfully we were both feeling better by Thursday so off to the pumpkin farm we went. It was great to spend some time with just my little man! Even though his sisters take a lot of my time and attention these days; he will always hold a special place in my heart as my first baby.

Checking out the little barn full of farm animals

We took a hay ride to their pumpkin/gourd patch and everyone was able to pick a gourd from the field. His was still attached pretty well!

He loved his gourd. He was calling it a rainbow gourd, but I think the tour guides had another name for it.

Not the best picture of him & Mommy on the hay ride but it's the only one from the day so it's a keeper!

Fun in the hay maze

It was a great first field trip with my little man. I look forward to many more field trips in the future.
