Hi, it's me "the little man" as I guess Mom calls me on her blog. That's not really my name, but she says something about calling me that for privacy reasons. I don't really know what that means but that's what she says.

Mom said I could write to tell some exciting news. Right now we live in a house close to Ma and Pa's, but Mom and Dad tell me that some other lady owns it and we are just living here for a while, until our NEW HOUSE is done. We did live in a nice new house for a while, but Mom and Dad (mostly Dad) were always talking about how it was broken or something. I liked to "play garage door", riding my tricycle and playing catch in the garage there. It looked fine to me, but Dad did put a lot of post it notes all over the walls. I had fun moving them around and making them look better. Then he took them all off and made red circles all over the walls. I call that house the "broken house".

We just lived in the broken house for a little while and then we started living where we do now, in the other lady's house. We have been going to some place where Mom and Dad tell me that they are building our new house. They have a big digger and a Bobcat there. I really want to ride on the big digger and the Bobcat but they say I can't. I get to ride on the Bobcat at the farm with Pa sometimes. There is a big hole there and we got to walk around. It was muddy so I had to kick some of the mud and make sure my shoes got nice and muddy. Mom and Dad say that we will get to go see the new house on the days they don't have to work until it is all done and we can move in.

They tell me that when we move to our new house we are not going to move again for a long long time. I'm glad because we sure have lived in a lot of houses. I don't really care where we live as long as I can play with my trains and watch my Thomas movies, and Dad and Mom and my baby sister are there. I love my big girl, except when she tries to play with my trains. Then I tell Mom or Dad to get her and if they don't come fast enough sometimes I knock her over and then I have to go to timeout. I'm going to go watch my movie now.

Maybe my Mom will let me write again soon! Here is a picture of the hole that they tell me is going to be our new house.

JUNE 22, 2010 UPDATE: We have had really awful luck with our builders. The first house we built had lime pops in the drywall that essentially looked like a ton of nail pops. We moved out and the builders repaired that house and then put it on the market. We had an agreement with them that they would repair and then try to sell that house while we built a second house with them. The second house was fine and we were very happy with the location and really most everything about it until toward the end of May we got a lot of rain and my husband found water in the finished basement. At the drywall stage, we felt like we should not have water there. He told the builders about it and they said it was because the grating and eavespouting wasn't complete yet and not to worry about it; to just let them do their jobs. They put one fan in the entire basement as their attempt to alleviate the problem. A little over a week later my husband went by and found mold on the surface of the drywall and on the inside of the drywall and in the insulation. Obviously- huge red flag for us and a health concern! We kept being told by the builders that it was a "non-issue" and that once the AC was on and running through it would take care of the problem. We didn't agree with that "solution" and talked to home inspectors, certified mold inspectors, etc and were told basically to get the heck out! They had not sold our repaired first home so we decided it would be best for us as a family to move back to the first house and to let them deal with the mold issue. We are in the process now of moving back to our first house. It looks beautiful and the drywall is repaired so we really felt like rather than deal with the builders even longer and not feel at ease with the way they wanted to "fix" the mold issue that it would be best to move back to our first house. What a crazy story this has been!! And our little guest blogger is very confused about why we are moving things back to "the broken house".
