2 weeks old

Our baby girl is two weeks old today. At her 10 day checkup she had gained one ounce, putting her at 7 pounds, 13 ounces. She is in the 50th percentile for her weight and head size, and the 95th for her length at 21 3/4 inches. She has spent the majority of her first two weeks sleeping. She even had several nights that she slept a 5 1/2 hour stretch and one 6 1/2 hour stretch! She's such a good baby, with just a small amount of fussy time from 9 to 11 at night. Her big brother has spent these two weeks playing with Grandma. They've "played garage door" which in our little man's language means playing in the garage with his tricycle, bats and balls and his blue push car. They've also spent lots of time playing basketball in the basement, and played lots of trucks and tractors. He seems to be adjusting well to having a baby sister. He says "my baby" and "baby drink milk". He's so cute and seems so grown up. It was so nice having the extra hands and help for the first two weeks of having two kiddos. We'll miss Grandma Jane a lot!
