Spaghetti Bake

We have eaten out all but maybe 5 or 6 nights since we moved and two of those nights were frozen pizza. I'm surprised but I am actually tired of going out to eat. Tonight I made our first real "dinner" since we moved. I found the recipe at kraftfoods.com and the boys LOVE it. It's not much different than Leftover Spaghetti Pie which I've posted before but it's not exactly the same.

Spaghetti Bake

* 8 oz uncooked spaghetti
* 1/2 pound italian sausage
*1 jar (14 oz) spaghetti sauce
*1 egg, lightly beaten
* 1 1/2 cups Kraft shredded mozzerela, divided
* 1/4 cup Kraft grated parmesan cheese

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Spray 8-inch square baking dish with cooking spray; set aside. Cook spaghetti as directed on package. Meanwhile, brown sausage in medium skillet on medium heat; drain. Stir in sauce. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

DRAIN spaghetti; place in large bowl. Add egg, 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese and the Parmesan cheese; toss to coat. Place in prepared baking dish; top with sausage mixture. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese.

BAKE 15 minutes or until heated through. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting to serve.

I didn't have italian sausage so I cooked the spaghetti as directed, then just mixed all the ingredients in the large bowl before putting in the baking dish. The spaghetti sauce got warm enough just baking in the oven without heating it in a skillet first. I had some pepperoni so I added that too and it was yummy! And being the huge fan of cheese that I am, I might have added some extra cheese on top.
