We really enjoyed the three day weekend and the beautiful sunny weather. We seemed to find a good mix of time for just the three of us and time with family and friends, which is something we struggle with pretty often. I got to have a "mommy night" on Friday, getting my nails done and then seeing Maid of Honor and having some cocktails at Applebees with my friend Jacinda. As much as I love our little guy, it's still nice to have some "me" time and some "adult" time once in a while. Saturday we celebrated my nephew's 5th birthday with a party at their house and he loved the new scooter he got from us!

We got to see my sweet niece too, she enjoyed her big brother's birthday party. :)

On Sunday husband, our little guy, and I spent the day together shopping, relaxing, having a picnic at the park and playing catch,

then went to a campfire at my aunt and uncle's for Memorial Day and to celebrate my aunt before her surgery today for ovarian cancer. Please keep her in your prayers, she's already gone through chemo and now has to have surgery so they can try to get what remains of the cancer. Cancer is such an awful and ugly thing and so many of my extended family members have had to fight one form or another of this disease. We're so thankful that they have beat it!
Yesterday we tried to go to a baseball game, but our little guy was apparently not in the mood for baseball so we left in the 6th inning and went home to relax for the rest of the night. I'll attach pictures from the weekend. We also bought our little guy a hat that he will actually leave on so we had to take pictures of that too of course. :)
