Pretzel Hugs 2012 edition

We have been making pretzel hugs for the past few years as one of our Christmas traditions after I saw the idea on The Sunny Side Up blog. Our son usually helps me, but he was sick when we made them this year so our daughter helped instead. She was excited to help make the treat for her preschool teacher and aide.

She was determined that she could line all the pretzels up on the cookie sheet herself and she did a great job!

Such a hard worker!

My adorable helper

She has moved on to unwrapping the Hershey's Hugs

She filled the cookie sheet with very little help. Even though I am blessed to spend every day with my munchkins, sometimes I am still amazed at how big they are getting!

The finished products for her teacher and aide. This year we gave them each a gift card attached with ribbon to the pretzel hug trees.  We had enough to fill a tree for our son's teacher also, in addition to contributing to a class gift for her; but we ran out of time to make a second batch for our neighbors. December goes so quickly!
