Ahoy Mateys!

We had a buccaneer's birthday to celebrate this weekend. We decided to do something different this year since our little pirate turned 6. We had his party at a Family Entertainment/arcade center.  I was a little nervous that it would be chaotic but they have a "party room" so there is some privacy while you eat, have cake and ice cream and open presents. I think the kids had a great time celebrating, playing the arcade games and collecting gold doubloons.

She wasn't sitting at the kids table because she wanted to sit by her Momma. Awh.

Look at this scallywag! ;)

Time to open the treasure!

All the mateys want to see what the birthday boy is opening.

His cousin got him a Lightning McQueen "treasure chest" using his own money and put coins inside. How sweet of him!

The race is on!

Our play group friends playing the Bozo game with their Daddy. We were so glad he brought the girls even though Mommy and their baby brother were visiting family in Illinois.

Skee Ball!

It is unbelievable to me that I've been a Mommy for six years!  I think I learn something new about being a Mom every day.  It's no easy job but I could not be more thankful for the three amazing blessings I have been given!

We are so proud to watch our son grow!  He has become so much more friendly and outgoing as he's gotten older.  He was a late talker but he has definitely made up for it the last couple of years. ;)  He still loves to play with his trains, his Lightning McQueen race cars, and now all things pirate.  His teacher is so happy with how he is doing in kindergarten.  She says he is a great listener and that he interacts at appropriate times with the other kids.  They have a behavior chart each day and they get a red, yellow, or green and he has had a green every day.  Things a Mom loves to hear!

We love you so much little matey! Happy 6th Birthday!!!
