I feel like maintaining friendships as a Mom and a wife can be challenging. It is hard, at least for me, to find a balance. I think it is so important to have girlfriends in our lives though, and for my kiddos to have play dates and little friends their age. We have had lots of play dates with Sara, a friend from high school, and her three boys since they moved closer to us about a year ago. The kids always play so well together and we love the opportunity to catch up, as much as catching up is possible with six kids!

The play date we had on Friday was the first we have really seen each other other than birthday parties and Breakfast with Santa maybe since preschool started in September! Life just feels busy even when we aren't doing that much outside of preschool and seeing extended family. It's amazing how much the kids have all changed in 8 months from May to January!
