My cousin called me a little after 8 last night and said that my grandma LaVon had a stroke yesterday and the doctors were saying she had a "major bleed" on the brain. At the time she said that my grandma was being transferred to a different hospital and that there would be a team of neurosurgeons waiting for her to do brain surgery when she arrived. Needless to say we were really worried! When the new doctors examined her CAT scan and other results from the first hospital, they decided to watch her closely overnight and do another CAT scan this morning. I have talked to my cousin again and she does have some damage to the right side of her brain but as of right now it looks like the bleeding has stopped on its own so they are not going to have to do surgery! She's not able to move the left side of her body like normal though so they are going to keep her for a day or two, then move her to the rehabilitation center so she can get movement hopefully back to normal on her left side. We all said many prayers and I believe that the power of prayer has made a huge difference. The outlook today is much much brighter than what we had first imagined last night. If you could keep her and our family in your prayers we would appreciate it!
